How many golf balls should I keep in my bag?
The question we would like to ask you is “How long have
you been golfing?” It is no coincidence that the number
of balls you lose during a round decreases exponentially when
compared to the amount of years you have played. If you have been
golfing for a while, it is likely you already have a good idea
about how many balls you might lose when playing. On the other
hand, if you have to ask this question, let’s just say that
having at least 10-20 balls in your bag at a time is probably
a good idea.
My shots always seem to hook or slice. What should I
do?
There are two ways to fix this problem. First of all, there is
the quick fix. Secondly there is the permanent fix. The quick
fix is quite simple. All you really need to do is reposition yourself
to the left or to the right as you tee off. Even though you are
facing the opposite direction and it may look like you are going
to hit the ball the wrong way, your hook or slice will come in
to play and the ball should end up somewhere on the fairway. The
second solution to this problem is to simply get lessons. You
can either take lessons from a golf pro or you can buy an instructional
DVD that may help you recognize and remedy your mistakes.
I’d like to take up golf, but I’m not sure
I can afford it. Any suggestions?
Even though it is very true that there are some courses that
are very expensive and that there are some pieces of equipment
and apparel that can set you back a pretty penny, this is not
always necessarily true. If you don’t have a lot of money
to spend you may want to look into playing on city-owned courses.
Since these courses are often subsidized with tax dollars, residents
usually get a good deal to play on them. Secondly, buying used
clubs is not a bad idea at all. Clubs tend to have a pretty long
life and even if you need to replace a club or two, this is still
less expensive than buying a whole new set.
